Georgia MLS Educates Local Home Buyers

The Georgia MLS is comprised of local real estate members who have been serving consumers for decades. Properties listed within the Georgia MLS listings database are provided by regional and state members responsible for real estate ranging from the North Georgia Mountains, to central GA, through the coast.

This southeastern state is a hot-bed for real estate. Fourteen of its counties stood among the United State’s 100 fastest-growing (second only to the state of Texas). There are a plethora of properties for sale within the many counties throughout the Peach State. For a consumer seeking to purchase a home, or gather information on home buying activities within one of the state’s regions, a map-based service can guide the way.

What is a “Map-based” Property Search?

Map-based property search combines mapping technology with local multiple listing services such as the Georgia MLS. This innovative technology is simply an interactive, online real estate search portal that begins with a click-able map of Georgia cities and metropolitan ares. Search features have been designed to put real estate consumers in the driver’s seat when it comes to finding homes online

Click to Search

With a few clicks of the mouse, home buyers can have at their fingertips property listings from one of several Georgia mls listings databases. These listings can be narrowed down by county, city, zip code, and even subdivision and other options. The final search results yielded from a map-based system will reveal properties that have been researched and compiled based on specific criteria entered by the consumer.

For example, if a consumer is searching for a home in Georgia, the country’s ninth most populous state, the eventual buyer can access and use Georgia MLS Listings data online to narrow their search by clicking on variables they’d like highlighted in their listing results.

Here’s how a fast, user-friendly search might unfold using home-finding mapping technology. First, the home buyer would click on an interactive graphic that looks like a map. Then, they would point their mouse to the state of Georgia. Next, the searcher would click on a county name; this will lead them to a list of cities within that county, populated by information from several Georgia MLS databases.

From there, real estate consumers can click on cities they’d like to search. (More than one city can be searched at one time). The number of available properties on the market within a town will be shown as part of the results.

From this point, individuals can seamlessly maneuver to explore detailed information about properties they want to ultimately explore with a real estate agent.

When you are ready to view homes you’ve found in the Georgia MLS database, reach out to a licensed Georgia real estate professional. Visit the Georgia Real Estate Commission  to begin your search.
